The winegrowing tradition at Neustift goes back centuries. To find out what has remained of this tradition, what winegrowing in the abbey’s vineyards involves today and the philosophy on which it is based, come on a vineyard tour. We’ll not only tell you all about Neustift winegrowing but also serve you its products. The tour of the vineyards together with the following wine tasting takes about 90 minutes in all. And lasts for longer.

Participation in the vineyard tour is only possible with prior registration.

Please come to the abbey entrance 15 minutes before the beginning of the tour.

Arrival description

Arrival by train

From the station continue to Neustift Abbey
by taxi
with the Citybus, no.2 or 3 to the ‘Kloster Neustift’ stop
by bus in the direction of Bruneck to the ‘Neustift/Hotel Pacher’ stop. From here it is around a 5-minutes’ walk to Neustift Abbey

Arrival by car
Take the ‘Brixen/Pustertal’ exit from the A22 Brenner motorway. From here you will see brown signs marked Kloster Neustift. First turn right in the direction of Vahrn, which you will reach after about 3 km. Follow the main street downhill through the village. Turn left for Neustift at Hotel Löwenhof and the abbey is about 1 km further on. There is a car park right after the Eisack bridge.
